Contact and risk

Check the details a person gives you: their email, their phone, the network they connect from, and whether their name appears on sanctions or politically exposed person lists.

Sanctions and PEP screening#

screening.sanctions screens a person or company against sanctions, politically exposed person and crime lists. Every detail you send (name, date of birth, nationality, ID number) is scored together, and each result explains why it matched.

Request
curl -X POST https://verisec.dev/v1/screen/sanctions \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $VERISEC_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "name": "Jane Doe",
    "schema": "Person",
    "limit": 10
  }'

osint.web looks for adverse media about the person, and screening.crypto screens a crypto wallet address.

Email and phone#

email.verify
Whether the address can receive mail and the mailbox exists, flagging temporary inboxes and typos, with a risk level and the reasons.
email.footprint
Which online services the address is registered with.
phone.lookup
What the number is: its country, carrier and line type.
phone.otp.send / phone.otp.check
Send a one-time code by SMS, then check the code the person types, to prove they hold the number.
osint.username
Where a username is in use across public sites.

Network#

screening.ip scores the risk of an IP address, and ip.analyze says whether it hides behind a VPN, a proxy or Tor.

Everything in one call#

contact.dossier runs the email, phone, IP, sanctions and wallet checks together, each part in the same shape as its own endpoint. The slower checks (accounts, usernames and adverse media) are opt-in.
